I’ve always been a student of the great concert films of the past—Woodstock; the Last Waltz; Monterey Pop; the Grateful Dead Movie; etc. Putting on another hat, on this tribute to Rusty Young, I worked as producer and director, behind the camera, capturing the concert on film.

“Two voices with intricate guitar bits” - or some such phrase became the mantra of this project. But the real project became figuring out how to shine a bright and focused light on those voices and guitar bits.

Creating the cover and package for “Poems From Earth” inspired my own artistic soul searching process. Researching through a book on historical symbology, an image came to mind and through a many revisions the final collage came into focus.

What do they say? “Game recognizes game.” That’s what I feel when getting to work with Morgan Myles. She’s a powerhouse on stage—one whose engine makes the whole band feel warmer, more roaring, more ready to rock; to cry; to burst into flame.
